TipRanks used the Expert Center tool to identify the top 10 analysts with a high success rate. To create this list, TipRanks analyzed every recommendation made by financial industry analysts over the past decade.
The rating reflects analysts’ ability to earn returns on their stock recommendations and price targets. TipRanks algorithms calculated the average return, the statistical significance of each rating, and the analysts’ overall success rate. In addition, each rating was measured over a period of one year.

1. Moshe Orenbuch – Credit Suisse
The list is headed by Moshe Orenbuch. Orenbuch’s overall success rate is 65%. Its best rating was with financial services company Ally Financial (NYSE: ALLY). His call to buy ALLY stock from April 17, 2020 to April 17, 2021 returned 220%.
2. Mark Rothschild – Canaccord Genuity
Mark Rothschild is second on this list and has a 72% success rate. Rothschild’s most recommended Canadian real estate investment firm Dream Unlimited (TSE: DRM). The analyst made a 108% profit from February 24, 2021 to February 24, 2022 with a buy recommendation on Dream Unlimited.
3. Bill Carcache – Wolfe Research
Wolfe Research analyst Bill Carcache is #3 on TipRanks top 10 financial analysts list. Carcache has a 71% success rate. His top recommendation was Discover Financial Services (NYSE: DFS), is a digital banking and payment services provider and credit card issuer. The analyst made a 287% return from March 20, 2020 to March 20, 2021 through a buy recommendation on DFS.
4. Steve Meneker – Stifel Nikolaus
Steve Manaker ranks fourth on this list. The five-star analyst has an overall success rate of 71%. The manager’s top recommendation was for Innovative Industrial Properties (NYSE: IIPR), a real estate investment trust (REIT) focused on the regulated cannabis industry. His call call on IIPR stock returned 250% from June 26, 2018 to June 26, 2019.
5. Bose George – KBW
Analyst Bose George, ranked fifth, has a success rate of 71%. His best recommendation was Mr. Cooper Group (NASDAQ: COOP), a leading home loan servicer and originator. The analyst made a profit of 179% from July 7, 2020 to July 7, 2021.
6. Gerard Cassidy – RBC Capital
Sixth place goes to Gerard Cassidy. The analyst’s success rate is 58%. His top recommendation was Fifth Third Bancorp (NASDAQ: FITB), a regional bank based in Cincinnati. Cassidy made a 139% return from April 8, 2020 to April 8, 2021 with a call to buy FITB shares.
7. Susan Roth Katzke – Credit Suisse
Credit Suisse analyst Susan Roth Katzke is seventh on this list with a 67% success rate. Katzke’s best call was buying shares of the investment bank Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS). Recommendation brought 138% return from May 6, 2020 to May 6, 2021.
8. Mark Dwelle – RBC Capital
RBC’s Mark Dwelle took eighth place. Dwelle has an overall success rate of 64%. His top recommendation is Goosehead Insurance (NASDAQ: GSHD). Based on a buy call on GSHD, it gained 210% from March 13, 2020 to March 13, 2021.
9. Ken Usdin – Jefferies
Ken Usdin is ninth on the list. A five-star analyst has a 62% success rate. His best recommendation was Customers Bancorp (Bancorp), a regional bank in Pennsylvania.NYSE: CUBI). The buy recommendation returned 246% from January 7, 2021 to January 7, 2022.
10. Robert Dodd – Raymond James
Robert Dodd is 10th on the list with a 69% success rate. Dodd’s best call was buying shares of WhiteHorse Finance (NASDAQ: WHF), a business development company that privately offers loans to lower-middle market corporations. Recommendation brought 150% profit from April 13, 2020 to April 13, 2021.
