TipRanks has identified 10 of Wall Street’s top analysts to identify the best investment opportunities. These analysts outperformed their peers with their stock picks and made remarkable returns with their recommendations.

TipRanks used the Expert Center tool to identify those with high success rates. We also analyzed every stock recommendation made by healthcare analysts over the past decade.

The rating indicates the ability of analysts to generate income from their recommendations. TipRanks algorithms calculated each rating’s statistical significance, average return, and analysts’ overall success rate. In addition, each rating was measured over a period of one year.

Thomas Smith tops the list. Smith’s overall success rate is 51%. His best rating is open Viking Therapeutics (NASDAQ: VKTX), a clinical-stage biopharma company focused on therapies for metabolic and endocrine diseases. His call call on VKTX stock from April 27, 2022 to April 27, 2023 produced a perfect return of 791.30%.

2. Brandon Couillard – Jefferies

Brandon Couillard is second on this list and has a 68% success rate. This is Couillard’s main recommendation Exact Sciences (NASDAQ: EXAS), a provider of cancer screening and diagnostic tests. From May 4, 2016 to May 4, 2017, the analyst posted a 450% gain with a buy recommendation on Exact Sciences stock.

3. David Windley – Jefferies

4. John Eade – Argus Research

John Eade is fourth on the list. The five-star analyst has an overall success rate of 69%. Eade has the best recommendation Modern (NASDAQ: MRNA), a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. His buy call on MRNA stock returned 265.90% from June 30, 2020 to June 30, 2021.

5. Michael Wiederhorn-Oppenheimer

Fifth place analyst Michael Wiederhorn has a 66% success rate. Here is his best advice Community Health Systems (NYSE: CYH), a hospital management and operations company. The analyst made a profit of 298.2% on this stock from May 1, 2020 to May 1, 2021.

6. Charles Duncan – Cantor Fitzgerald

Sixth place goes to Charles Duncan. The analyst’s success rate is 52%. It was his best recommendation Novavax (NASDAQ: NVAX), a biotechnology company that develops vaccines. With a call on NVAX stock, Duncan had a solid 800% return from March 17, 2020 to March 17, 2021.

7. Yaron Werber – TD Cowen

In eighth place is Geulah Livshits of Chardan Capital. Livshitz’s overall success rate is 42%. This is the main recommendation of the analyst Cabaletta Bio (NASDAQ: CABA), a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing treatments for autoimmune diseases. Based on a buy call on CABA, the analyst has made an 800% profit since October 11, 2022.

9. Richard Newitter – Truist Financial

Richard Newitter is ninth on the list. A five-star analyst has a 62% success rate. He has the best recommendation Organogenesis (NASDAQ: ORGO), a regenerative medicine company that provides advanced wound care and surgical biologics products. The buy recommendation returned 397.9% from May 12, 2020 to May 12, 2021.

10. Boris Peaker – TD Cowen

Boris Peaker is 10th on the list with a 47% success rate. Peaker’s best call was buying shares in Trillium Therapeutics, a clinical-stage company developing treatments for cancer. Pfizer ((NYSE: PFE ) then acquired Trillium. The recommendation brought 800% profit from January 7, 2020 to January 7, 2021.
